Walk a 100 Miles in 100 Days
Hi Folks,
Are you up to a challenge?
How about Walking 100 miles in 100 days?
A few years ago my employer challenged his employees to this goal: walk 100 miles in 100 days.
I was one of the hundreds of employees and their families that accepted the challenge. Every day at lunch time I would hit the walking trail for a mile. If something kept me from taking my walk at lunch time, I would walk after work.

Working Part Time in Retirement
Hi folks,
I have several retired friends that have part time jobs. Some work because they need the money, some want the extra money for the “extras” it affords, and some work because they enjoy working.
Whatever your motive, if you are considering a part time job, the following article offers some good advice for your search.

Aging and Attitude
Hi Folks,
The subheading of my blog is “Making the Most of Our Senior Years”. And that is what this blog is all about, getting involved in a wonderful and exciting new life style; doing things we didn’t have time for when we were working and raising a family, learning new things, taking on new hobbies, sleeping late (or not) – the list could go on and on.
Unfortunately many seniors, retired and not yet retired, have a terrible attitude about getting older. Stinkin’ Thinkin’! What a terrible way to spend the rest of their lives.

LIVING ON SOCIAL SECURITY
Hi Folks,
The following article was published February 16, 2009 in the Dollar Wise blog of the dallasnews.com (The Dallas (Texas) Morning News website). This article is about retirees that are truly living on a budget. I thought you would like to read it.
I imagine that a lot more retirees can relate to the folks in this article today than could a year ago when it was first published. And I imagine that a lot more retirees are living only on social security that don’t want to admit it.

How Seniors Can Improve Their Brain
Hi Folks,
The following post is a reprint of my post of January 9, 2010 on my other blog retirement on a budget. It was such a poplar post that I decided to also post it on this blog as, surprising enough, very few people read both of my blogs.
Hey Senior, have you exercised your brain today?
